The right circuit for every appliance
Dedicated Circuits and Appliance Wiring
Large appliances and equipment need their own circuits. Sharing a circuit with other loads causes nuisance tripping and, if the wiring is undersized, overheating. Air conditioners, dryers, ranges, freezers and workshop tools all have specific circuit requirements.
Grand Electric, Inc. installs dedicated 120 and 240-volt circuits sized for your equipment, checks that your panel can support the new load and connects the appliance correctly.

Common questions
Dedicated Circuit FAQs
What is a dedicated circuit?
It's a circuit that serves a single appliance or outlet, so that equipment gets the power it needs without competing with other loads.
Which appliances need dedicated circuits?
Typically ranges, dryers, AC units, water heaters, dishwashers, microwaves, freezers and large workshop tools. Manufacturer requirements also apply.
Why does my microwave trip the breaker?
It's probably sharing a circuit with other appliances. A dedicated circuit usually solves the problem.
Can my panel handle another circuit?
We check available space and load during the estimate. If the panel is full or near capacity, we'll explain your options.
