Modern wiring for older homes

Home Rewiring and Whole-House Electrical Remodels

Many Brevard County homes were wired decades ago, before today's appliances, electronics and safety standards. Outdated wiring, two-prong outlets, aluminum branch circuits and overloaded panels can all become safety risks as your household's power needs grow.

Grand Electric, Inc. evaluates your existing system, explains what needs attention and what can stay, and rewires in stages that fit your schedule and budget. You get a safer, code-compliant electrical system without paying for work your home doesn't need.

Common questions

Home Rewiring FAQs

How do I know if my home needs rewiring?

Warning signs include frequently tripping breakers, flickering lights, warm outlets or switch plates, a burning smell, two-prong outlets and aluminum branch wiring. Homes with original wiring from several decades ago are also worth an inspection.

Do I have to rewire the whole house at once?

No. In many homes we can rewire in phases, starting with the circuits that carry the most risk, so the work fits your budget and you can stay in the house.

Is aluminum wiring dangerous?

Aluminum branch wiring can loosen at connections over time and overheat. It can often be made safer with approved repair methods, or replaced. We'll inspect it and explain your options.

Will rewiring damage my walls?

Some openings are usually needed, but we route new wiring to keep them small and coordinate patching so the job is finished cleanly.
