Charge at home
Home EV Charger Installation
A Level 2 charger can add a full day of driving range overnight, far faster than a standard wall outlet. It also draws a large, continuous load, so it needs a dedicated circuit sized for the charger and a panel with room to support it.
Grand Electric, Inc. checks your panel capacity, recommends the right circuit for your charger and vehicle, and installs it neatly in your garage or driveway. If your panel is near its limit, we'll explain your options before any work begins.

Common questions
EV Charger FAQs
Do I need a Level 2 charger?
A standard outlet adds only a few miles of range per hour. A Level 2 charger is much faster and is the best choice for most drivers who charge at home every day.
Will my panel support an EV charger?
Many panels can, but some older or smaller panels are already near capacity. We check your load during the estimate and tell you if an upgrade is needed.
Can you install a charger I already bought?
Yes. We install most hardwired and plug-in Level 2 chargers and make sure the circuit matches the manufacturer's requirements.
Can the charger go outside?
Yes. Many chargers are rated for outdoor use. We use weather-rated equipment and wiring methods for outdoor and driveway installations.
