Remodel with confidence
Electrical Work That Fits Your New Kitchen or Bath
A kitchen or bathroom remodel usually needs more electrical capacity than the room had before. New appliances, islands, vanity lighting and heated floors all add circuits, and today's code calls for GFCI and AFCI protection in places older homes never had it.
Grand Electric, Inc. plans the electrical side of your remodel with you and your contractor before the walls close up. We lay out circuits, outlets and lighting around your new design, pull the permits the work requires and coordinate inspections, so the finished room works the way you pictured it.

Common questions
Kitchen and Bath Remodel Electrical FAQs
When should an electrician get involved in a remodel?
As early as possible, ideally before cabinets are ordered. Planning circuits and lighting while the walls are open costs less and avoids changes after the finishes go in.
Will my panel handle new kitchen appliances?
Not always. Induction ranges, double ovens and added circuits can exceed what an older panel provides. We check your panel's capacity during the estimate and tell you if an upgrade is needed.
Do bathrooms need GFCI outlets?
Yes. Current code requires GFCI protection for bathroom receptacles, and remodeled kitchens and baths also need it near sinks and countertops. We bring the new space up to current requirements.
Do you work with my general contractor?
Yes. We regularly coordinate schedules, rough-in and final inspections with contractors and homeowners so the electrical work fits the overall remodel timeline.
